Project Export

After generating your video, you can export the entire project as a ZIP file and continue editing in professional video editing software like DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Final Cut Pro X.

What's Included

The exported ZIP file contains everything you need to continue editing:

Project Timeline (XML)

Project_Adobe_DaVinci.xml - FCP 7 XML format compatible with most professional editors. Contains all your scenes, timings, and references to media files.

Media Assets

All video clips (B-Roll, A-Roll, animations, charts) and voiceover audio are organized in the assets/ folder.

README Instructions

README.txt with step-by-step import instructions for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro X.

How to Export Your Project

    Wait for video completion

    The export button appears once your video is fully generated.

  2. 2

    Click "Export Project"

    Located on your video's progress page, next to the download video button.

  3. 3

    Download the ZIP file

    Your browser will download a file named Cliptude_Project_[ID].zip

Importing into Your Editor

Choose your preferred video editor:

Recommended

DaVinci Resolve

  1. Open DaVinci Resolve
  2. Go to File → Import → Timeline...
  3. Select Project_Adobe_DaVinci.xml
  4. In the dialog, check "Automatically set project settings"
  5. If media goes offline, point to the assets/ folder

Adobe Premiere Pro

  1. Open Adobe Premiere Pro
  2. Go to File → Import...
  3. Select Project_Adobe_DaVinci.xml
  4. The timeline and assets will import into a new bin
  5. If media is offline, right-click and select Link Media, then point to the assets/ folder

Final Cut Pro X

Note: FCPX does not natively support FCP 7 XML. You need a conversion tool.

  1. Download SendToX (formerly 7toX)
  2. Open Project_Adobe_DaVinci.xml with SendToX
  3. Convert to modern FCPXML format
  4. Import the converted file into Final Cut Pro X

Technical Details

  • Format: FCP 7 XML (Final Cut Pro 7)
  • Frame Rate: 24 FPS (standard export)
  • Timings: Scene durations match the final assembled video precisely
  • Tracks: Separate video and voiceover audio tracks for flexible editing
  • Scene Naming: Clips are named by type (e.g., Scene_24_a_roll, Scene_5_voiceover)
